Power Players: Phyllis Lacca
"When savvy AC hands want to promote a new anything, they'll often turn to Phyllis Lacca to help them do it. Lacca was one of the first women to break through the boys' club AC used to -and still can - be, back in the '80s, as founder and director of Bally's Advertising and Marketing Agency. Since 1994 she's grown her own firm, Masterpiece Advertising, to be a power house in gaming force, entertainment and hospitality advertising and marketing, with a satellite office in Vegas. Among Masterpiece's clients; the AC Convention Center, Bally's Gaming, Caesars, Las Vegas, Trump Taj Mahal, Foxwoods, Harrah's, the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority and Celebrity Cruises. Lacca was asked to select the signature caricatures lining the walls of The Palm when the famed restaurant reopened in town a few years back; she throws parties known for guestlists that mix A-list celebs, area pols, sports figures and gamers; and is active locally on a personal level, serving on the board of Gilda's Club and the South Jersey AIDS Alliance."
