ATLANTIC CITY--It's the "not to be missed" event of the year for Gilda's Club of South Jersey...the annual Movers, Shakers, Difference Makers luncheon.
Since 2005, The Palm in Atlantic City has played host to the fundraiser, which has raised more than $400,000 over the years, to help Gilda's supply support and services to families dealing with cancer here in South Jersey. With another expected sell-out again this year some people are actually offering to bid on other people's tickets offering twice the cost, "This is becoming such a powerful event for the community. It's just blowing the socks off of Atlantic City. It's developing wings and flying. It's amazing," said Paul Sandler, General Manager of The Palm Atlantic City.
This is a year of firsts for the event, with four difference makers to be honored, and a special "dress to impress" red carpet segment hosted by a Joan Rivers impersonator.
